Creating a PTA account vs. Joining the PTA

Your PTA account. PTA membership. Your Membership Toolkit account. It can all be confusing especially if you are new to MPE.

What is Membership Toolkit? Membership Toolkit is software for non-profit organizations. It is used by MPE PTA to organize PTA membership, online PTA sales, communication (website, newsletters) and accounting. It is possible you already have a Membership Toolkit account if you signed up through a different non-profit organization/PTA. If you download the Membership Toolkit app on your phone, you can toggle between the different accounts. We refer to your Membership Toolkit account at millsparkpta.com as your PTA account.

Create a PTA account/Membership Toolkit account even if you don't join the PTA. You can do a lot of things with your PTA account even if you don't actually purchase a PTA membership: buy spirit wear which will be delivered to your child's classroom, subscribe to the weekly Panther Press newsletter, purchase 5th grade yearbook legacy ads, register for Odyssey of the Mind, etc. Once we had a visit from a local author - students were able to purchase a signed copy of his book through their family PTA account. How do I join the PTA? To join the PTA, complete the "2021-2022 MPE PTA Membership Form" after logging into your account. Submit $15 for annual dues via PayPal. If you want to know more about the MPE PTA, what it does and why you should join, click here.

What else can you do with your PTA account before school starts?

Currently, there are 2 open forms in your account: PTA membership and Volunteer Opportunities. You do not have to be an active PTA member to volunteer. Read more about our volunteer opportunities here.

Under "My Subscriptions", you can sign up for the Panther Press: this is our weekly PTA newsletter with updates and reminders that will be emailed out starting in late August.

As the year progresses, more forms will open up including Spirit Wear - we will have updates in the Panther Press and on our website.

Remember to update your child's classroom once you know their homeroom teacher. A key to distribution of items (spirit wear, yearbook, etc.) throughout the school year relies on you updating your child's classroom info under "Family Information" in the Forms page.
