See you all this Saturday from 3-6pm for our MPE Spring Carnival.

SILENT AUCTION AND RAFFLE BASKETS

  • The Silent Auction is online at https://app.memberhub.gives/mpecarnival2024 and will begin on April 5th (you are welcome to have a sneak peek at our auction items as our site will go live on 4/5/24,  but please know we are still uploading more items all week). All bidding is done online. The auction ends at 6pm on Sat. April 20th. Feel free to share the auction website with friends and family.
    • There are over $15,000 of donated items in our auction. Examples of items include summer camps, local businesses and attractions in NC (Umstead, Marbles, etc.) , orthodontic treatments, UNC Wellness family memberships, etc. We also have amazing MPE experiences including breakfast bunch with the counsellors, a dance choreography with Ms. Rochelle up for raffle and more. Let's not forget the coveted front parking space as well as front row seats to the 5th grade moving up ceremony.
    • This year, there is a BUY NOW option so check out the items early in the week before they sell.
    • You can set a proxy bid with your maximum bid.
The 12 Raffle Baskets were created by all our classrooms through our room parents. They will go live for auction on April 8th. We will upload a list of the basket contents to our silent auction website. Mrs. Pauls will draw 12 winners on April 22nd. Enter the raffle basket draws in one of 2 ways:
    • online through our silent auction website. Bundles of tickets can be purchased and we will physically enter a ticket into the appropriate basket draw.
    • in person at the Carnival using Fun Tickets (we will ask you to write your name and phone number on each ticket you enter).
    • teacher experiences

OUR FAMILIES MAKE THIS HAPPEN- PLEASE VOLUNTEER

As you know, this large event can't happen without our amazing parent volunteers. We do need your help to bring this event to our school community. Sign up for a volunteer shift at the carnival and receive 2 extra raffle tickets.

WCPSS Family Survey

4/12/2024 1:06 am

Families of Mills Park Elementary,

Help us make your child’s school experience as positive and beneficial as possible by giving honest, thoughtful responses to the questions in our family survey.  By completing this survey, we hope to continue to create and strengthen partnerships with families and to strengthen family engagement to support strong student academic and social outcomes for students. Families will be surveyed on the following topics:
  • Barriers to Engagement
  • Family Engagement
  • School Climate
  • Background Questions
We are excited to learn more from our families by your honest and thoughtful responses. We use the results of this survey as we work on our school improvement plan with our leadership team and entire school staff. This way we can continue to strive to make your child's school experience as positive and beneficial as possible.

All Wake County Public Schools families are being asked to take this survey. The survey is school specific, so make sure you select Mills Park Elementary. The survey has 21 questions and takes on average 7 minutes to complete. It is live from April 8 - May 17. For more information, please visit this link:  bit.ly/WCPSSFamilySurvey

If you are having trouble finding the link to the actual survey, click HERE. On that screen you will see the survey is available in 7 languages. You know you have completed the survey when a "Thank You" screen shows up.

I'm here to help you navigate this survey and answer any questions you may have. Please do not hesitate to reach out. My email is: ncsnyder@wpcss.net or you can reach me by phone: 919-466-1466 x 20790.

We all truly appreciate the time you spend completing this survey and are looking forward to processing through the results so we can strengthen our practices at Mills Park Elementary in order to best serve your children.

Thank you very much,
Nancy Snyder

The morning group will assist with setting up their own station and the afternoon group with assist with bringing their station's equipment back inside. Please feel free to join us the whole day or even both days!! It's going to be a lot of fun!

Thank you for helping to make this a fun Field Day for our students!
