what is reflections?

The National PTA Reflections Program is an arts recognition program to encourage artistic creativity in the classroom and at home.  It offers students opportunities to express themselves creatively in six different art categories and to receive positive recognition for original works of art inspired by a pre-selected theme.

This year's theme is: I Belong

Students may choose one or all of the available art categories:

Dance Choreography/Coreografia de danza

Film Production/ Produccion de cine

Literature/ Literatura

Music Composition/ Composicion musical

Photography/ Fotografia

Visual Art/ Artes Visuales

Students may enter as many pieces as they would like in one or all art categories.  Students will need to submit a Student Participation Form for EVERY piece they submit for judging.

Accessible Arts Division: Welcomes students who identify as having a disability and may receive services under IDEA or ADA: Section 504 and offers non-artistic, division-specific accommodations.  These entries automatically move on to the Council level and then to the State level.  
 

Please read the following instructions carefully before you fill out the MPE Reflections Student Entry Form online here

Step 1: Please make sure you are signed into parent's personal Gmail or are using parent's personal email (no work emails, or student school emails please) when completing this form. Parent and Student are to complete form together (including uploading artwork).

Step 2: For students under 18, parental permission is required. When you click on submit for this form, you are confirming that the student has their parent's permission to participate in the Reflection program. Before submitting the form, remember to right click, print the page, and have the Parent/Guardian sign this page and send a scanned copy to your Reflections Chair's email reflectionsmpe@gmail.com 


Step 3: If for any reason you cannot submit your art digitally through the form, email your artwork directly to your Reflections chair.

***Students do not have to wait to fill out the MPE Student Entry Form to start their art projects. Students can begin working on their art project NOW!
