We need a VP Ways and Means

The MPE PTA Board of Directors still needs a VP Ways and Means officer!

Fundraising for all our PTA programs (classroom grants, technology equipment, competitions like Odyssey of the Mind, just to name a few) is an essential component of our PTA planning. Its direction is now split under two officers: VP Events (directs carnival, boosterthon, book fair and spirit nights) and VP Ways and Means.

The Ways and Means officer leads the spirit wear team (designing, ordering, distributing), the silent auction team (soliciting donations, building website, prize fulfilment) and works with our sponsors.

Please contact our Nominating Chair, Sukhi at communications@millsparkpta.com for more details or come to our General Membership Meeting on Tuesday, May 7th.

MPE is participating in the Bike & Roll to-School Day on May 8th, 2024. Join children & adults around the world to celebrate the benefits if walking and bicycling.

Families can of course ride with neighborhood friends from home but if you want to join in the fun/meet new friends, start your walk or bike ride at one of the following locations. We need volunteers to lead the walkers and bikers. Click here for the link to the signup.

Whether you are a PTA member or you just want to know more, come to our General Membership Meeting in the Media Center on Wednesday, May 7th , in the Media Center from 6:30 PM onwards.

Check in early and chat with current board members.

6:30 PM- Meeting starts. Recap of the year. Learn about our programs and what's coming back this year. Members will vote to elect the incoming PTA board for 2024-2025. In order to vote, you must be a paid PTA member. This will be followed by a Volunteer Appreciation dinner.

We are still in search of candidates to fulfil the VP of Ways and Means role. Please reach out to anyone on the current PTA board to find out more about the role. Email communications@millsparkpta.com to reach out to the nominating chair.

Self nominations are welcome from the floor during the meeting.
