Family Engagement Survey

You should have received an email regarding the Family Engagement Survey. All Wake County Public Schools' families are being asked to take this survey. The survey is school specific, so make sure you select Mills Park Elementary. The survey has 22 questions and takes on average 7 minutes to complete. You do need to complete the survey in one sitting. It is live from April 7 - May 16. For more information, please visit this link:  bit.ly/WCPSSFamilySurvey. You can also click HERE to access the survey. On that screen you will see the survey is available in 7 languages. Please hit the "submit" button at the end of the survey. You know you have completed the survey when a "Thank You" screen shows up. 

Spring Carnival 2025

MPE PTA presents Millie's School of Magic on April 26th from 3-6pm at Mills Park Elementary. 

Preorder your wristbands and tickets HERE (scroll down to the Spring Carnival item) and get the early bird special.

Wristbands are needed for all children 3-16.  Adults are free.  Tickets can be used for concessions, raffle baskets, fairy hair, the train ride, dunk tank, and the new Sorting Wheel.  Spin to find out what house you belong to and help your house compete for the house cup at various games throughout carnival. 

Money is only needed for the food trucks, Alex's Lemonade Stand (run by the student council) and spirit wear.

Free:  magic show, music, most games and inflatables, visit our sponsor's tables Carolina Orthodontics/Triangle Family Dentistry for a photo booth, Rich Music providing our music and hands on intruments, Stemarga for hands on STEM activities, Piedmont Wildlife Center with animals, Hearts and Pixels with a prize wheel, Duke Pediatrics with ice packs, and NC Courage!

Odyssey of the Mind - State Tournament

Last weekend Mills Park had an impressive 5 teams competing in the Odyssey of the Mind State tournament in Jacksonville, NC. The teams had a wonderful time, and all did a fantastic job! The hallways of Northside Elementary, Middle, and High School were crowded with students and props as they prepared for their performances. In the end, Mills Park had an incredibly impressive showing and did an amazing job to represent our school. 

Our Problem 1 team (coaches Anirban and Krishna) made the podium in 3rd place (and just 1 point separating them from 2nd place)!

Our Problem 3 team (coaches Ashley-Ruth and Rabiya) was competing in the largest division with a lot of teams to go against, but still had a very high 4th place finish!

Problem 4 had two Mills Park teams (A - Thor and Rajesh & B - Ajay and Felcy), and managed to top the podium taking 1st and 2nd, both receiving invitations to World Finals in Michigan!

Wrapping up with Problem 5 and the final Mills Park team (coaches Betina and Bhinesh). They finished in 2nd place and also secured an invitation to World Finals!

Mills Park Middle School also had many teams competing, so the Odyssey tradition is going strong at Mills Park thanks to the PTA support and this year's coordinator Lin Yu!
