Message from the Safety Patrol

Our Safety Patrol have a special message for all parents. They have noticed that almost all parents are following the lines and driving slowly, but they have seen a few instances of cars driving too fast or not following the blue lines. This puts all our children at risk (and teachers too).

Please make sure to drive slowly (as if your child is playing in the street you are driving on), and follow the carpool lines from 8:30 to 9:15 and 3:30 to 4:15 (even if it looks like there aren't that many cars in line). Also, if you are in the parking lot during those times but not doing carpool, please be extra careful as carpool cars may not expect you to be driving in different areas.

Math Kangaroo is a national competition for students enthusiastic about learning math. The registration window is already open with deadline of December 31, after that date, the registration fee will increase.

Parents need to create an account on the Math Kangaroo website. After creating an account, you can login and register using this registration link. Registration at Mills Park requires a code which is: NCCARY_MPE@2025MK

This year's competition test will take place on Thursday, March 20th from 6pm - 7:15pm.

The School Counselors at Mills Park Elementary are taking on a large school wide project titled, Calming Kits. The goal is to create a Calming Kit in every classroom of the building that is uniform school wide. This will help the students regulate their feelings while remaining in the classroom and accessing instruction. They have created a Donors Choose Project to help fund this. Thank you once again for supporting our fundraiser. We've had some feedback, and now we would like to hear from you! Tell us what you loved or didn't love about Boosterthon and the Fun Run. Please take 3 minutes to fill out the survey linked HERE. We will use results to make improvements for next year.

Register for Battle of the Books, Spelling Bee, Reflections, Odyssey
Provide teacher grants for classrooms and specials
Host Movie Night
