Calming Kits Project

The School Counselors at Mills Park Elementary are taking on a large school wide project titled, Calming Kits. The goal is to create a Calming Kit in every classroom of the building that is uniform school wide. This will help the students regulate their feelings while remaining in the classroom and accessing instruction. They have created a Donors Choose Project to help fund this. Thank you once again for supporting our fundraiser. We've had some feedback, and now we would like to hear from you! Tell us what you loved or didn't love about Boosterthon and the Fun Run. Please take 3 minutes to fill out the survey linked HERE. We will use results to make improvements for next year.

Reaching our goal has allowed us to:

Purchase a subscription to BrainPop and Generation Genius, online apps
Register for Battle of the Books, Spelling Bee, Reflections, Odyssey
Provide teacher grants for classrooms and specials
Host Movie Night

Congratulations to our Mills Park Elementary team! Coach Felcy Selwyn and the team members, Valora Neradugomma, Ishaan Neradugomma, Kanisshka Kulandaivelu Pandiarajan, and Tanmi Midhunya Midhun won Second place at the Odyssey of the mind Spontaneous Tournament. Cheer up for them!

Congratulations to the 3rd grade team for winning the Trunk or Treat competition! All the trunks were fantastic, as well as the costumes of all of the treaters. Is anyone else planning next year's trunk already? Thanks @Jahima Guevara for a great event.

What an amazing community we have. It was great to see everyone, between Movie Night, Book Fair, and Trunk or Treat. Thank you for attending and for your support of Book Fair. The participation at these events is part of what makes this school so special. An extra thanks to the volunteers who make it all happen.
