Welcome back!  We can't wait to kick off this new year.  Do you have any resolutions for 2024?  Mine are to meet new people, bring new programs to our school and to have even more fun than last year (if that's even possible.)

Is your new year resolution to get more involved in your family's health?

Join us in planning our Health & Wellness month which will end with a new event for MPE: a Health & Wellness Fair. The fair will include family activities such as Zumba and yoga, presentation(s) to parents, and educational booths by local vendors. 

MPE PTA was awarded the PTA Connected: Be Internet Awesome grant from the National PTA. This PTA-sponsored presentation will take place at the fair.

If you have an interest in promoting Healthy Minds, Heathy Bodies, and Healthy Planet, and would like to join the group of parents planning this event, please email Natalie at audit@millsparkpta.com.

2023-24 Reflections Winners at Wake County level

We are happy to share that our MPE students mentioned below have won at the Wake County level in their respective divisions and categories, and will be invited to join Wake County's Reflections Winners celebration in the spring of 2024. Those pieces designated '1st Place' and '2nd Place' on this list will move on to represent Wake County at the State Level. Heartiest Congratulations!

Literature - Primary:
1st Place: Aashvi Patwari, 2nd Grade - A Hope Rainbow

Literature - Intermediate:
Honorable Mention: Xiayi Zhu, 5th Grade - The dream of nature

Music Composition - Intermediate:
2nd Place: Julia Alexandrov, 5th Grade - My Friends

Just a reminder that we will celebrate all our MPE Reflections participants and winners on Thursday, January 18th from 7:00-8:00 pm in the Media Center at MPE.
If you have already dropped off your child's project then we will hold onto them in the PTA office. If you haven't done it yet, then we will let you know a new date in January when you can drop off the project to be displayed at the celebration.
