SSA Testing Information

Single Subject Acceleration (SSA) is the practice of placing a student in a higher-grade level in one subject area. This type of acceleration is for the purpose of providing access to appropriately challenging learning opportunities in either math or English Language Arts. 

An SSA Information Meeting for parents considering SSA for their child will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 5:30 pm. Please mark your calendars.

*Test requests will be accepted during the Test Request Submission dates. The test request window for the Traditional Calendar is March 21-25. Requests cannot be made before or after the request window.

SSA testing may be requested through:

• Electronic Test Request Form: This form must be submitted between March 21-25. The form link will be live on March 21, 2022.

OR

• Paper Request Form : If you print one, please fill it out completely and return it to your child’s classroom teacher. This form must be submitted between March 21-25. We will have some copies of the Test Request form available in the front office.  

All SSA testing will take place in person.  If your child attends virtual school, they will need to come to the building for testing.  All testing will take place between April 18th - May 3rd.  If you request testing, specific information about your child’s test date will be communicated to you no later than April 6th.
