General Membership Meeting Updates

Thank you to everyone who showed up in person and virtually to our first General Membership Meeting. We hoped you were able to learn about what MPE PTA does and how you can get involved. 

Here are links for all MPE families whether you were at the meeting or not.

Take our Feedback Survey - tell us your experience with programs like Yubbler; share your ideas, questions or concerns with us; tell us where you would like to see the PTA funds go.

Join a committee - you don't need experience and you don't need to commit without knowing what duties are involved. Meet some fellow parents and plan one of our programs/events - it can be a fun and new experience! Note: Mon. Sept. 19th in the Media Center - Book Fair Committee meets at 6:30pm; Odyssey of the Mind Info session at 7:00pm.

Make every little bit count - we raised $1,000 last year from our families linking grocery reward cards, Office Depot purchases and shopping on Amazon Smile instead of Amazon (just change the setting on your phone!). Please consider relinking your cards this year if you haven't already done so.

Register & Donate - MPE Boosterthon Fun Run

Our Mills Park Elementary Boosterthon Fun Run fundraiser kicked off on 09/13/2022. This is our major fall fundraiser.

We’re on an adventure to raise funds for enhancing Specials Programs and funding technology needs for our school.

Register your students at http://mybooster.com. Then start your sharing your donation page to get pledges from friends and families. Fun Run on is on Wednesday, Sept. 21st. .

Every MPE student will receive a Fun Run t-shirt and participate on our Event Day on September 21st, regardless of financial participation. 

PTA General Membership Meeting

Whether you are a PTA member or you just want to know more, come to our General Membership Meeting in the Media Center on Thursday, September 15th, in the Media Center from 5:30PM-6:20PM.

5:30-5:45 PM- Check in early and chat with board members.

5:45-6:20 PM- Learn about our programs and what's coming back this year. Members will vote to ratify the budget.

Light refreshments will be served.

Girls On The Run

MPE will be hosting Girls on the Run this fall. 

Ms. Cogswell, along with Ms. Kellie Huffman and Ms. Teri Armstrong are leading this program. Twice per week for 10 weeks, girls will have fun, make friends, increase their physical activity levels and learn important life skills. Trained and caring coaches lead 3rd - 5th-grade girls through interactive lessons and movement activities. The program training starts 9/12/22.

The season ends with a celebratory 5K event.
