A message from our VP Ways & Means

It was a truly amazing sight! So many of our students and their families and even friends from different schools. I was very happy to see all of those smiling faces, and I hope that means you all had a wonderful time. Don't we have a great community?

There are so many people to thank for making this happen! Thank you to our sponsors and our generous local businesses who donated exciting silent auction packages. Congratulations to the winning bidders. Thank you to the room parents for putting together our raffle baskets and the parents that donated to fill them. Congratulations to those winners as well.

Thank you to our teachers who came out, especially those in the dunk tank. What good sports you all are! You give so much of yourselves already, so this was above and beyond, and I hope you enjoyed your time.

Thank you to all of our volunteers, especially those who worked more than one shift and our super volunteers: Kristin Anthony, Eric Hall, Corinne Kadlec and Natalie Kranz. A special shout out to the decorations committee for bringing the theme to life: Shipra Pande, Rabiya Quazi, Kristin Anthony, and Jahima Guevara. You are supremely talented! Lastly I'd like to thank my fellow board members, particularly my partner in crime, Natalie Pang. Everyone worked so hard to make this an extra special event for the school.

It was my first carnival, and I'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback. Can you believe I'm already thinking about next year? Thanks so much for an amazing day.

One last draw: We have 2 silent auction items that didn't have any bids: 50% off 1 week of camp at Triangle eSports Academy and 2 free personal trainer sessions with 3 week free trial at O2 Fitness. We will be having a draw for these items. Please fill out the Google Form here by Saturday, May 7th to enter in the draw. You can enter for one or both of them.

Yearbook update: This year, we have printed a QR code in the yearbook (which has been submitted for printing) that when scanned will link you to an Entourage web page devoted to the 2022 spring carnival. So send in your pictures to yearbooks@millsparkpta.com and the yearbook committee will upload them to the site so these memories can still be a part of your yearbook experience.

(If you still want to purchase a yearbook, you can do here on the Entourage website. Please be aware that the yearbook will be shipped directly to you but there is no guarantee you will receive it before the end of the school year. The cost will be roughly $32 including shipping.)

Come to a general PTA meeting, vote for next year's board, enjoy dinner with fellow parents. Mark your calendars for our last General Membership Meeting of the year on Wednesday, May 18th at 7pm in the media center. Fill out this Google form to RSVP so we can figure out numbers for catering.

You don't have to be a PTA member to attend (you do have to be a member to vote) - come and learn about MPE PTA!

Interested in writing our weekly Panther Press? We are looking for someone to join our board as VP Communications. If you enjoy writing and creating a newsletter and have a bit of general experience with email/website, this is the job for you. Send any questions about the role to vicepresident@millsparkpta.com or just come to our meeting!

For the 2022-2023 school year, we are switching to Yubbler for school supplies. Read a letter with details from Yubbler by clicking below. Here's what you need to know:

- Our teachers have provided next year's supply list and Yubbler has uploaded it to their website. Unlike other companies, you can add all the items for your child's grade then customize your order. So if you have leftover supplies from this year or extra Clorox wipes at home, remove them from your order.

- Your complete order will ship to your home for a flat fee of $4.99

- 50% of their profit is returned to the PTA
