A message from our president
3/20/2022 9:00 pm
Dear Parents,
Our PTA has been busy planning our upcoming Spring Carnival and we're excited for the opportunity to spend time with our Mills Park families again! Please mark your calendars for Saturday, April 30th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Many of our families have never been to our carnival as we have not had one since 2019. There will be inflatables, food trucks, carnival games and prizes, a magician, face-painting, gem mining and more! For full details, read the blog on our website or tune in weekly to the Panther Press for our special Carnival Series.
The carnival is incredible fun for our families but it is also our school's biggest fundraiser after Boosterthon. Money raised through the carnival and its accompanying silent auction and raffle baskets helps us to fund a wide range of activities and programs at MPE in the last few months of the school year. This spring, these programs include supplies for our STEM lab (up to $3,000), new books for the media center (up to $1,000), new soccer nets, our fifth-grade graduation ceremony, inflatables for Field Day and much more.
Our classrooms have been split up into "raffle basket teams" led by room parents. Your donations to these baskets help us make all our programs possible. You should have received information from your children's room parents about how to contribute to your team's basket. You can also find updated carnival information and volunteer opportunities in our weekly Panther Press and on our website. Our PTA strives to be as engaged and active as possible and fundraising allows us to provide optimal opportunities for our students and staff. We can assure you the money raised will directly benefit your children and continue to make Mills Park Elementary the exceptional school that it is.
A huge thank you to our room parents for organizing the raffle baskets and thank you to all of you for your continued support!
