Odyssey of the Mind Update: we need judges and volunteers!

The tournament is approaching quickly and we are still in need of several judges and volunteers.  Both options offer an inside look at how the OM program works and what it takes to make it a success. Judging is a lot of fun as you get to see 10-20 teams perform their solutions over the course of the day.

Each team has to provide a judge and volunteer or they can not compete.  Volunteers need to register no later than February 7th.  If we don't have those slots filled by that time, we will have to remove that team from the competition.  

Judges need to be available for a 6-hour training on February 26th and all day on March 5th for the tournament.  Volunteers need to be available on the tournament day and their shifts range from 2-6 hours.  For either one, you will get to see your kids perform, but judges can not judge their child's team.

Maniacs Marathon is returning to MPE!

As part of the MPE PTA's Health and Wellness program, Maniacs Marathon is returning to MPE after the program was interrupted in March 2020. When you sign up for this family challenge, you are committing to completing 25 miles with your family between February 8th and April 7th. Walk it, run it, jog it - do it at your own pace. The last 1.1 mile will be run by students at the school (due to the pandemic, we won't be having families run together as in previous years).

Thank you for supporting MPE PTA in our new fundraising project. Our first Millie's Mystery Box (Valentine Edition) is sold out. We will deliver the boxes on Feb. 14th to your child's classroom; if you are in VA, we will email you for a pickup time.
