Odyssey of the Mind State Tournament

Congratulations to our Odyssey of the Mind teams! 2 of them have qualified for the World Finals in Iowa: 

Our Problem 2 team (Abhigna C., Cheyou L., Carl H., Jacob O., Colin H., Nathan Z., Samanvitha P.) came in 3rd place in the state tournament. 

Our Problem 5 team (Jonah B., Aarav S., Aria A., Jayanee B., Sarah H., Vihaan K., Xinya P.) came in 2nd place in the state tournament. 

STEM Night Fun

A big thank you for a wonderful turnout at Stemarga STEM night.  I hope the kids all had fun with the VR dinosaurs, robot coding, 3D printer, and more.  If you wanted to check it out but couldn't, please e-mail me waysandmeans@millsparkpta.com.  They have offered us another night in May if there is enough interest.  Don't forget to check out their summer camp line up.

Field Day is back and we need volunteers!

Mr. Rood is starting to plan for Field Day and needs your help! Our Field Day this year will be Thursday May 12th (Grades K-2 & ECS/Pre K) and Friday May 13th (Grades 3rd-5th). Please visit the link below to sign up to volunteer your time to help on field day or if you're not able to attend you can help donate cups and bottled water. Please make sure you pay close attention to your child's classroom teacher name, as each time is different grade levels and 1^st and 3^rd grade a split up at two different sessions. Feel free to sign up for one session, two sessions, or all day both days! Your time and help are greatly appreciated to help make Field Day (the student's favorite day of the school year) successful! You must be an approved WCPSS volunteer and if you are not, you can go to the front office any day during school hours to complete this in just several minutes.
